We started the safe contact campaign in 2005 in response to ongoing problems of unsafe contact decisions, proposed changes to legislation and growing publicity from some men’s groups about contact. We believed that the proposed changes to family law could affect women and their children if there were no safeguards about contact issues and domestic abuse.
Our campaign culminated in an amendment to the Children (Scotland) Act 1995.
