‘Changing Lives – Women’s Aid in Scotland’ is the result of a fantastic collaboration between SWA, local Women’s Aid groups and women, children and young people who have used Women’s Aid services.
On Thursday 12th March 2009, we premiered our new DVD in a special event at the Glasgow Film Theatre.
‘Changing Lives - Women's Aid in Scotland' is the result of a fantastic collaboration between SWA, local Women's Aid groups and women, children and young people who have used Women's Aid services.
The 15 minute film was made to promote the work of Women's Aid groups across Scotland. Women who have used the services talk about the impact Women's Aid has had on their lives and Women's Aid workers give an insight into the range of services they provide. The publication gives a detailed perspective on what domestic abuse is, the impact that it can have and the work that Women's Aid groups do in order to support women and children who are experiencing it.
The film was produced by the Media Co-op, who had previously worked with us on the Listen Louder DVD.
Clips from the film will be available to download soon and the DVD featuring the full film can be obtained by contacting Scottish Women's Aid directly.
A PDF version of the Changing Lives booklet is available to download in PDF format and hard copies are available from SWA.
