Donations and fundraising
Thanks to...
Women In Scotland who raised a fantastic £15,471 for
us through a single lunchtime event. Could you raise funds for us by holding
a raffle, a dinner or a sponsored event?
Top Shop who held various fundraising events, raising
£2,584 for us.
As a charity we rely on donations to continue our work for women and
children. The help from our supporters makes a huge difference. Whether
you want to help us with a one-off gift or to make a more regular
contribution, there are various options:
- GAYE - Give As You Earn:
the most cost effective way of donating to SWA. Your donation is made
through payroll and is tax-free. It also has 10% added on by the
government. Speak to your employer about this.
- Bank direct debit: make regular donations through your bank on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis direct into our bank account.
- Online: use your debit or credit card to donate
through CAF
Online.
- By post: make your cheque payable to Scottish Women’s Aid and put it in the post.
- In your will: if you wish to make a bequest to us in your will please contact us.
- At no cost to you: everyclick.com is
an internet search engine which donates money to the charity of your
choice every time you use it. What could be simpler? Just register
and choose Scottish Women's Aid as your charity.
- Sponsored events:
why not do a sponsored event or activity for us with a bunch of friends
or your workplace? We’ve benefited from marathons, dress down days and
more. Fun for you and good for us.
If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim Gift Aid on
all your donations. This amounts to an extra 28p for every £1 you donate.
All we need from you is a signed statement that you are a UK taxpayer
to enable us to claim this. Please download
a Gift Aid declaration form (28kb PDF), sign it and send it to Scottish
Women’s Aid, 132 Rose Street, Edinburgh, EH2 3DJ.
